Neema's Summary

Ok, ok, I am a little lax in my Blog entries, but at least I was able to post a picture!!

Thursday:

I started by leaving the house in Rhode Island at about 7:30am in the morning, looking forward to the approx 10 hour drive to Toronto. Over all the trip was fine through RI, CT and MA but when I got to NY, I stopped at one of those 24 hour rest stops to get some lunch, bio-break and generally stretch my legs after driving for 4 hours. I got back to my car and tried to turn over the car, but it wouldn't start at first, it seems as if the battery was dying in front of me!! Luckily on the second try, it did catch and the car started, YAY!! I had my GPS on me and I was able to locate a auto parts store. After an hour of finding the place, buying a new battery and changing it out, I was able to get the car started and back on the road again!!

I had plans on stopping on the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls and due to the lateness of the drive, I was considering skipping it (I also had plans on picking up Kass at the train station in Toronto when she arrived so time was tight) but because the weather was so nice when I got to the Niagara area I made the decision to go. I am so glad I did, I had never been before and I was floored by the power of nature and was reminded of a particular part in POTS, but no spoilers here!!

I took a few photos and was quite happy with the results so I decided to leave for the last leg of the trip to Toronto. I arrived at the hotel about 7:30, an hour later than I wanted to and immediately bumped into several Mysterium attenders in the lobby including Ayli who had a big warm hug for me! I checked in, called Kass to see her status and found she was on a cab heading to the motel, so so much for that plan (insert rolleye here!). In about a half an hour, Lie'Ra, Kass and Granny all rolled in and hugs were exchanged all around.

We all eventually settled in and went to a local restaurant for the starving members of our group! Had dinner, hung around, talked and caught up with each other. Time flew by so fast!

We were so tired after driving and chatting, we all decided to turn in. A quick call home finished the night to check on my wife and daughter and let them know I arrived safe and sound. Sleep beckoned and I obliged!
