Going on a road trip

Starting to get a bit nervous. I made my reservations months ago. Should I call and verify? What if I get there and they don't have a room for me? Laptop isn't set up yet either. I need to be sure I have the correct links set up for easier access. Clothes? What should I bring? Can you tell this is a first for me?
